Update on Read-A-Thon Progress !

I didn't get to do as much reading as I hoped yesterday as the read-a-thon started at 11pm here in Sydney, but I will be getting some done today till 11pm tonight.

I am 290 pages into The Rain by Virgina Bergin out of 386 so I am nearly done. I will be finishing this tonight most definitely.

I will be starting and completing Maus Volumes 1 & 2 today/tonight.

I also will be hopefully starting The Vampire Diaries: Stefan's Diaries - Volume 2 tonight and getting a chunk through that.

Friday Reads 24/04/15

I'm sorry to everyone but I am still reading the same book that I have been reading for weeks ( The Rain by Virgina Bergin )as it is just a REALLY slow read for me. But... I am participating in a read-a-thon tomorrow so I will be reading some graphic novels to make up for this boring time. I will post another blog about what I am reading for the read-a-thon and all the information for it :)

Have a great weekend !! xx

Top 5 Wednesday 22/04/15

This T5W was a lot harder than others as I needed to look at my bookshelf and look at each book I have read individually to remember if they had travelling in them. Some books were more prominent in my brain, but I have a very bad memory so you can see how that would turn out.

5. The Giver by Lois Lowry -

In The Giver, the second half of the book centres around his journey to find anything beyondhis safe community. It is a different kind of travel, it should probably be classified as more of a journey, but travelling is a journey. I really enjoyed the descriptions of the setting while Jonas travelled through.

4. Allegiant by Veronica Roth -

For some weird reason I really enjoyed the traveling part to this book. All I despised was the end of Allegiant. When they travelled I found it entertaining, but informative at the same time. Some people may not have liked that I guess. I liked the suspense and the action was great.

3. Girl Online by Zoe Sugg -

"My Favourite Genre"

I have actually never liked one specific genre before, that I have taken note of anyway. So I was wondering what all of the types of books I rather read were and what genre they would be classified in because I'm very particular. Here goes nothing:

I very much enjoy Greek Mythology.

I love a good romance novel.

I have a huge obsession with rom-coms with greek mythology or any kind of mythology for that matter so I have basically know what type of "genre" I'm into, if you can call "Romantic Comedies with a side of Mythology" a genre.

I have now just realised that my favourite "genre" is just basically The Covenant Series.

Highly recommend all of her books!!

Friday Reads: 17/04/15

Here is what I'm currently reading this Friday & throughout the weekend!!

I'm still progressing through The Rain by Vergina Bergin slowly. I am getting more involved with the story and it is becoming more action packed and a lot is happening throughout this point in the book which I am glad. I am hoping to finish it very soon so I can start another book because I've been reading very slowly ahhh!!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend !!

T5W: Most Frustrating Characters 15/04/15

Top 5 Most Frustrating Characters
5.Tris from Divergent
I've always had some kind of hatred towards Tris, she has just always bugged me. I think it may be because of how she makes her decisions and just the fact that I wouldn't make the same decisions. Also I hate how she treated certain people, it was just cringeworthy sometimes.
4.  Mia from If I Stay
She frustrates me in the same way Tris does. I really disliked how she acted when she could see what had happened to her family. She acted quite selfish and when she decided to hop in the van that the hospital were taking her in and not the one with her family in, I started to really despise her.
3. Gale from The Hunger Games
I honestly think he is just pointless in the Trilogy. All the books would have been fine without him and he really doesn't do that much besides blow up Prim. He frustrates me just being there because he just makes Katniss feel bad about Peeta and then he blows up her sister by accident, like really?

Mixtape Monday 13/04/15

Happy Monday everyone!!! At least it's holidays otherwise I would not be saying that!

I will leave links to the music videos of these songs if they have one. :)

Here are 10 of my favourite songs this week.

1.  Sugar - Maroon 5 :

I have been listening to this song on replay since the start of this week and I cannot get enough of it! I also really enjoy the video clip, you all should check it out it's so amazing!! - Sugar Music Video

2.  Young Girls - Bruno Mars :

I just recently heard this play on the radio again after awhile of being released and I fell in love with the song all over again. I love Bruno Mars and this has to be one of my favourite songs of his.

3. In The End - Black Veil Brides :

Not only until just recently have I become obssessed with the band Black Veil Brides but I have fell in absolute adoration with this song. I think the real reason I like this song is because, not only is it meaningful and emotional, but the music is just produced so well and Andy Beirsack'…

Hello everyone!!! Here is what I will be reading this Friday & this weekend!!!

I am hoping to finish The Rain by Virginia Burgin which I'm currently reading. I'm enjoying it, but I think she is blabbing on a bit much about useless facts slowing down the read a bit. Hopefully it speeds up soon though.
I am then going to pick up To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. I am so excited to read this!! I have huge expectations, so I hope the hype surrounding this book will not let me down. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and read some wonderful books !!! xxx

I'm sorry that this is going up late Saturday in Australia and a lot of other places, I haven't had internet connection. Thankfully it's still Friday some places in this world. I promise I will try very hard to upload them on a Friday my time!! x

How I See My Blog...

I know my last few posts haven't really been book related, but this post is bog related and I just wanted to share my view of my blog & the internet. :)

So not even just 5 minutes ago I checked my STATS here for my blog. I not only realised I have had over 900 people view my blog, but they were from all over the world! This amazes me for several reasons:
1. I'm just an awkward teenager who is obsessed with books and music.
2.  Why does anyone care about my opinion on a book that I've read.
3. And how are people from whole other countries viewing my content that I make in just a short amount of time in my dark little room (I promise I'm not a creepy person who stalks everyone at night) in a blink of an eye.
It is so incredible that someone that I do not even know is reading this right now and maybe even relating to this, as they might even have their own blog or are just amazed at how cool the internet can be!
I know that I'm not 'the biggest blog out there"…

So hello internet...

My name is Brooklyn if you didn't already know and this is my blog !!

I started it in January of this year just to try it and I love it!! I'm having heaps of fun and I have interacted with a lot more people already.

Top 5 Wednesdays - I'm starting T5W because i've watched gingerreadslainey do it on her channel on Youtube for ages and I found out I can join on my blog!! If you want to join in here is the good reads link  T5W GOODREADS GROUP. I hope you all enjoy it!
Monthly TBR'S & WRAP UP'S - I am including these on my blog because when I read book blog it interests me what the blogger is wanting to read and has read in the past month :)
Friday Reads - I'll be updating you every Friday EST on what I am currently reading for that weekend!
Mixtape Monday - I will also be adding something not entirely book related, but each Monday I will share with you 10 of my favourite songs of that week as music is a huge part of my life as w…

5 Books I Wanted To Read Yesterday!

Hey guys, so I'm going to be doing Top 5 Wednesday on here!!
1. Where She Went by Gayle Forman
I started reading this sequel directly after I finished If I Stay and I'm about half way through. I always am in the mood to read this so I don't know why I keep putting it off!
2. Alice In Zombieland by Gena Showalter
My best friend always raves about this series and I've been meaning to read it for the past year but have never gotten around to reading it.
3. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Everyone has read and loved The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings and I want to as well, this has to make it was further up on my TBR list!
4. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
The Mortal Instruments has to be one of my favourite series even though I haven't completed it and I've been putting off reading this one for the longest time even though I know I will love it! I always want to read it, I just have to put in the time and effort.
5. To All The Boys I've Loved Before by J…

Auto-Buy Authors!

Here are some of my authors that whenever I see a book on shelf written by them I must have it!
Jennifer L. Armentrout -
I have only read 4 of her books, but they are all 5 star reads. Jennifer has to be one of my favourite authors, if not my favourite. I'm trying to get around to reading some more of her works, but there are sooo many! She literally publishes a book every month! It's very hard to keep up. I'm very certain though if I see any one of her books in a bookshop, I'm bound to pick it up!
Cassandra Clare -
Cassandra Clare is also up the top on my favourite authors, thanks to The Mortal Instruments & Infernal Devices! I love and have every single book she has ever published except for one I think! She has such a unique talent, where she can entertain you throughout an entire book and I love it. If I see any book written by her I am sure going to get it.
John Green -
I'm sure you though John might be on here and of course you are correct. AHH JOHN GREEN!! I …

I had no idea GirlOnline would take off the way it has - I can't believe I now have 5432 followers, thanks so much! - and the thought of opening up to you all about this is terrifying, but here goes...

Penny has a secret.

Under the alias GirlOnline, she blogs about school dramas, boys, her mad, whirlwind family - and the panic attacks she's suffered from lately.
