On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.
Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.
My Review:
This was a very hard-hitting read for me. I will definitely say that this is my favourite book I have read so far this year. I felt every emotion while reading this novel. I had never felt so attached to both protagonists and the author portrayed both characters fantastically. I was always on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Hannah was about to tell me next. I felt as if I was Clay, and as if I was the person who was going to be on those tapes. It was quite predictable the way Hannah talked about Clay and I wanted her to talk about him more, but that didn't lessen my enjoyment of the book at all.
There were so many important and interesting topics in this book it had me gripped to it. This book did not disappoint me one single bit.
